Earthquake Safety
If there is an earthquake, get in a sturdy place: under a table, or in a door frame - keep away from windows!
Drop, Cover and Hold! Be sure to protect your ears and eyes!
Keep a first aid kit in your house and earthquake supplies including water and food for 3 days, medicines, and anything special a you might need, like diapers for a baby. You should also have a coat, a sleeping bag or blankets, a flashlight and radio.
If you are at school, listen to what your teacher says to do.
At your house, make sure a grown up knows how to turn off the gas.
Strap your water heater. A water heater is a big white tank in your house. It makes the water hot for the bathtub. It uses gas. If it falls down it can start a fire.
