The devastating effects of a tornado can include land destruction, mudslides, deaths, and property damage. While lava travels great distances it burns, buries and damages everything in its path. But, volcanoes also do more damage than we think.
Many scientist believe volcanoes are at least partially responsible for global cooling. After a major volcanic eruption, there have been changes in weather all around the world. Ash clouds sometimes float in the stratosphere for years, reflecting sunlight back into space. The eruption of Mr. Tambora in the East Indies caused snow in June and a mid-summer frost in New England.
The flowing lava will destroy everything in its path. The large amount of dust and ash will cause roofs to collapse. The actual temperature in the area will increase. The ground around the volcano is unstable and is known to produce earthquakes.
