Tornado Effects |
|||||||||||||||||
Thunderstorms produce lightning, rain, wind and hail. All of these can be deadly when a tornado is formed. Each updraft and downdraft pair in a thunderstorm is called a cell. A super cell is formed when more than one cell comes together. Tornadoes form when the southwest downdraft meets the westerly updraft. The spinning is caused by planetary patterns. The lower the air pressure the more violent the storm and greater the rotation.
