Poseidon was the god of the seas. He was very popular among the gods. Poseidon helped in the great battle against Cronus. During the war Poseidon was given his weapon the trident. He was known as an angry and turbulent god. He caused storms and earthquakes and sometimes he sent monsters to punish people. Such as when he was denied payment for building the wall of Troy he sent a monster to punish the countryside. Poseidon was also a lover. He loved Medusa but she was turned into a hideous creature by another jealous god. |
