Pandora’s Box

Narrator
: This story starts in a time long, long ago. The earth was ruled by the gods and they were alone on earth. The gods decided that the time had come to create all the creatures of the earth. The brothers, Prometheus and Epimetheus, were given the job of creating them. Epimetheus was very excited about this task.

Epimetheus: Prometheus, this is my big chance to make up for all of those silly mistakes that I’ve made in the past. Please, let me create all of the animals.

Prometheus: Hmmmm. You’ve messed up so many times before. Our cousin Zeus will be very angry if you ruin yet another job. You certainly don’t want him angry with us, do you?

Epimetheus: Zeus? Isn’t he always angry? Just to be safe, when I’m finished, you can come back and check my work before we present it to the other gods. Beside, wouldn’t you rather go fishing?

Prometheus: Fishing, what’s that?

Epimetheus: Oops, never mind. I haven’t created fish yet. Well, run along and I’ll make some for you. You’re going to love trying to catch them!

Prometheus: Oh, all right. Good luck. I think you’ll need it.
