EAM MEMBERS
Students
Kendal
Age: 17
Grade: 11
Role: Proofreader
Location: Waukon, Iowa
School: Waukon Senior High
College: undecided

Contributions: On this project I was primarily the proofreading guy. After James and Justin finished with some info I proofread every word and double-checked all of it, along with a few other small things such as research. I really enjoyed this project and I would like to send a big thanks out to our leader Jon and of course James and Justin. I would also like to thank our coach Ms. Hay.
Background: Since I was a youngster I have always enjoyed science. In high school I became even more involved with science as I have taken every science class that our school has to offer. Outside of the classroom I am involved with basketball, cross country, and track. My future plans are to continue on to college and major in aerospace engineering.

James

Age: 16
Grade: 11
Location: Waukon, IA
School: Waukon Senior High
Role: Information and Research
College: undecided

Contributions: My part in this team was to look and process the information about the planets natural satellites. Also discovering links to allow the visitors of the site to explore more of our solar system.
Background: I live on a farm. With my excellent location Ii have a perfect view of the beautiful sky. This and the routine of the national guard flying low over the farm I became interested in the stars and what they might contain. My future job is hopefully a Marine pilot of the X32 strike fighter. I would like to attend a ROTC program.

Jon
Age: 17
Grade: 11
Location: Waukon, IA
School: Waukon Senior High
Role: Team Leader and Web Designer
College: undecided
Contributions: For the Thinkquest competition I was in charge of the web and graphics design, along with inserting all the information we gathered. I also researched and contributed to the planetary information portion of the web site.
Background: I lived on a farm until age eleven. Then I moved to town shortly after we sold our entire farm setup to a family from Wisconsin. On occasion I would use the elementary school's primitive macs to type reports and plays educational games such as Spellavator and Oregon Trail. During the summer before eighth grade my parents purchased our first home computer. From the moment I sat down and played around I knew that I would do something with computers then and throughout the rest of my life.
I would like to thank the other team members for their hard work and contributions, and especially our coach, Ms. Hay who discovered this competition and selected us to participate in it.
Outside of school itself I participate in Cross Country and Golf.

Justin
Age: 17
Grade: 11
School: Waukon High School, Waukon, IA
Role: Research
Contributions: I researched a large portion of the moon information and worked with James.
Background: The reason I'm a part of this project is because of my strong interest in computers. Early in my life I took a keen liking to computers and my interest in them is stronger than ever. My future career will hopefully be in the computer industry. I would just like to thank the team for all the hard work they have put into the site.

Danny
Age: 16
Grade: 11
School: Waukon High School, Waukon, IA
Role: Translation to Spanish
Contributions: I went through the tedious task of translating all the content into Spanish.
Background: The reason I'm part of this project is because of my abilities in the field of spanish. Although I have only had three years of spanish in my high school career, I have really excelled in this class. I'm not quite sure if spanish will be in my sights for the future though. I would like to thank the group for letting me be a part of this project and for working hard on it.
