Words

Panic- This word came from the god Pan who was thought to be the one that caused the feeling when one was alone in the wild.

Tantalize- This word came from a myth about a man named Tantalus who eternal punishment was to have tempting food always be just out of reach.

Atlas- Wow! This god was strong. He was supposed to be the on holding up the heavens. Ancient maps always had his picture on them. Eventual a book of maps would have so many pictures of him that it was called a book of Atlases.

Titans- These were the fathers of the gods. Here in Tennessee we are proud too have named or football team after them.
