February- was named for a Roman god Februus. He was a god of the dead and purification.

March- was named for the Roman god Mars. He was the God of war.

May – was named for the Roman goddess Maia. She was the goddess of spring and rebirth.

June- was named for Juno who was the mother of the gods in Roman culture.
