About Our Site

The six members of our team are all fourth grade students at East Memorial Elementary School in Greeley, CO. We were selected by our school's library teacher, Mr. Hutchinson, who is also our coach.

We all met twice a week in the computer lab and library to work on the project - once during school and once during our after school program. As the deadline approached we worked more, often coming in during our recess time and whenever our teachers would let us.

Once we decided on which disasters we were going to focus on, the research work was divided up between us. Stephanie worked on the tornado and hurricane pages, Sulem worked on asteroids and droughts, Jaquelin worked on earthquakes and tsunami, Kara worked on blizzards and floods, Olivia worked on volcanoes and Emily worked on wildfires. Our main site developers were Stephanie and Sulem. Jaquelin and Sulem helped to correct the Spanish pages. We hope you like our site.
