Insulin comes in a little bottle and you have to take a shot with a needle. The needle is called a syringe. You have to give the shot in different places. There are different kinds of insulin. Insulin has to stay in the refrigerator.
Some people take pills for diabetes, but that is not insulin.
If you are a kid with diabetes, you need to make sure your teacher knows about it. If you get dizzy, you may need to drink some orange juice or eat something with sugar to raise your blood sugar. It's a good idea to wear a special bracelet that says you have diabetes.
