Floods happen all over the world and are one the most common disasters. In Venezuela we had one of the worst flood and landslides of the 20th century. In December of 1999, constant rain for almost two weeks caused huge landslides along the coastline killing almost 5,000 people, destroying towns and changing the land along the coast by creating new beaches, and destroying some that were already there.
