Many people are hurt by things falling on them during an earthquake.  If you are at school or at your house, you could hide under a desk or table so the things will not fall on you. The bathroom is usually the safest, strongest room in the house.  You can sit in the bathtub and cover your head to be safe during an  earthquake.
