GENERAL DESCRIPTION

A drought is a shortage of water. The rain will not fall at all. There are four ways to describe a drought:

1. Meterological-a measure of rain due to climate. A drought in one place may not be a drought in a different place.

2. Agricultural-is when the moisture in the soil does not meet the needs of a particular.

3. Hydrological- occurs when water supplies are low.

4. Socioeconomic-is when it starts to affect people, the cummunities and the economcy.

A strong  drought sometimes causes a forest fire or a if it lasts for long it can turn a fertile land into a  desert. A drought may last longer than you expect.
