Davy Crockett  was born in Tennessee.  He was a pioneer who became educated and was very respected by people long ago.  Because he did many interesting and difficult things, he became famous.   People would tell about how he learned to shoot a rifle when he was just a little boy, and how he outsmarted many people.

Davy Crockett had to take care of himself.  Life was hard in America.
