This web-site is constructed by a group of students called ÖKOLÉNYEK (OECOBEINGS),
who go to the Magyary Károly Primary and Music School in Kerecsend.
Kerecsend is a village in Heves county, north-east Hungary and it is about
110 km from Budapest in the east.
The name of our team is in connection with our topic – non-native plants and
animals. We have tried to treat a part of the topic, which is, of course, a
large field even in itself. We have collected some of the non-native
vertebrate species of Hungary classifying them taxonomically. We did this
without intending to be exhaustive, we would rather try to show a kind of
approach.

How did these animals get to Hungary?
l adopting to the altered environment they settled (widened their living place)
l humans brought them with the aim of breeding – some animals ran away and now they live and breed freely
l pets held for pleasure (aquarium, terrarium, cage)
l humans domesticated them for economic purposes (domestic animals)

My name is Ibolya , I was born in Eger, I live in Kerecsend with my parents and my two sisters. This is the eighth year that I go to Magyary Károly Primary School. My favorite subjects are Maths, Hungarian, Biology and Computer Science. I have been learning Computer Science since I was in the third form. In my free-time I like reading, listening to music, watching TV and dancing. In making the web-site I mostly took part in typing. My long-term plan is to be a teacher. |

I like most P.E., Art and Biology. I also like using a computer. I am twelve years old. I love wandering. My task was to collect material and to type it. I enjoyed doing it.
