Slave Auction

Imagine you’re in your village doing your daily activities and a group of white men come and capture some of the villagers, including you! They take you on a ship all chained up and very little to eat. You see all these white people laughing and saying something you can’t understand what they are saying. You’re wondering why you’re there. You can’t find your family all you can do is cry.

When you’re finally off the ship you find yourself on a stand. You see people holding money and shouting something. You realize they’re shouting numbers, but what for? Is something for sale? You look around and see nothing. When you finally find out that YOU were getting sold, you’re getting taken away. You are a slave now following commands living a miserable life.

This his how some African American people used to live and some people still do today in other countries. Getting taken away from your family would be horrible. Some slaves were beaten with whips for trying to escape.

How would you like it? I don’t think you would
