Atmosphere-  The air or climate in a specific place

Candidate- a politician who is running a public office.

Charcoal- A black, porous, carbonaceous material, 85 to 98 percent carbon.

Collision- an event in which two or more bodies of mater come together and hit.

Crater - a bowl shaped depression in a surface made by the impact or explosion such as an asteroid, comet or meteoroid

Diameter-A straight line segment passing through the center of a circle (taken from mathematics)

Fracturing- To cause a break

Meteorites- A stony or metallic mass of matter that has fallen to the earth’s surface 

Molecule- A small particle, a tiny bit

Nucleus- The central portion of the head of a comet

NASA- An independent agency of the U.S. government responsible for spaceflight. Stands for the National Association of Space Administration

Oort Cloud- A swarm of comets orbiting the sun at a distance of one to two light years. Proposed as a source of comets that passed near the sun. 

Organic- Of relating to or derived from living organisms. Organic matter.
