  About Us

For a first project, we organized  our very first penny drive.  Everyone was very generous with their contributions.  From that our local food bank  received $425.67.  Don't you think that is a ton of money for kids to make in a week.  We  are making our minds  work extra hard to make other very successful  projects.

We are hoping to do an Adopt A Family program.  This is when we find a few local families that do not have any food.  We are planning on making local families live a good life.  We are going to look to staff and students from our school  to help prepare meals for the hungry in our local area.

In mid-May, we will be selling pies. We will have three different types, and they will be apple, cherry, and blueberry. One pie costs $5.00, and you can pick them up in  mid-June. We will be donating the profits we raise to our local food bank .  When you pick up the pies, our group will give facts and answer your questions about world hunger and homelessness.

One of our programs that we would like to host is a refreshment meeting. At this event we are going to have a box  for donations.  One tidbit we know is that all the food banks run low because their school sponsors are not in school for the summer.  We are going to save the money until the middle the summer when the food bank needs it most.
