feb,19,04 Wildfires can start in just seconds from anything that can create a spark.(on the right are some kinds of starters.)If its hot enough outside the sun can even make a Wildfire happen. When everything is dry or dead it burns alot quiker. It can burn thousands of acres really quik if nobody handles it. When combining every fire in a year it reaches up to 5 million acres burned.
From the wheels on a train touching the train track to the heat of the sun or lightning can cause a Wildfire. how most of Wildfires happen is becuase the humans are careless and don't think when they throw down a lit cigarettes or anything that can start Wildfires Wildfires can spread if there is fuel to burn like trees to brush and houses too. they call the fuel that has not been burned but is fixing to get burned is called the FuelLoad. they measure the fuellOad by the unit area, there usually is tons of FuelLoad per acre. Smaller FuelLoadswill burn slower and less intensly than a big supply of fuel wich burns very very intensly.
A Flash Point is when something gets hot and bursts into flames. When wood bursts in flames the fahreheit or300 celsius. there are 3 things to make a fire you needfirst you would need the fuel to let it burn longer, then you need the oxygen to circulate through it, last you need the heat source like the sun,lit cigarettes,or just the heat outside. those things put together make something called the Fire Triangle. |
