     WASHINGTON STATE

     1910   

       The worst avalanche in U.S. history happened in the Cascade Mountains in Wellington, Washington when 115 trapped in a train when they were swept to their swept to their deaths 150 feet below the tracks.

PERU

     1962

      Tons of ice and snow sliding swiftly down Huascaron Peak just one of the mountains in Andes. This avalanche  killing nearly 4000 people.
