Bastet

Goddess of  War and Joy

Bastet  was a goddess with the head of a cat.  She was sometimes seen as a protective, gentle goddess.  In order to protect the king in battles, she appeared with the head of a lioness.  

The symbol of her is a cat. Many statues were made to honor her.  She was the daughter of Ra the sun god.
