Anubis

The God of Mummification

Anubis was a god with the head of a jackal.  He was the god of embalming.  The Egyptians believed Anubis watched over the dead, because jackals were seen in cemeteries.  

After Osiris was killed by Seth, Anubis was the god who embalmed him.  After that, he was known as the god of embalming.
