Horses

In the Northern Territory, there are approximately 200 000 feral horses. There are approximately 54 000 of these concentrated in and around the Alice Springs region.
Without control, and if conditions are favourable, the feral horse population can grow by 150 000 per year.
Culling has reduced the number of feral horses on Fraser Island, just of the east coast of Queensland, from 200 to about 20.
