The Indians believed using gems would heal there problem. Here are some gem names.....

• Agate- It contains Ether, Air, and Fire. It should or can be worn on a gold necklace. For the power it is  spiritual awakening. 
• Ruby- Helps you with mental power. This gem contains Fire, air, and Ether.
• Pearl-It contains elements of water, Air, and Earth. It also has a thing called anti-pitta properties. It has strengthening qualities and promotes.
• Topaz-It promotes passion or beauty and relieves fear. It helps you with strength and intelligence. It contains parts of Ether, Air, and Fire.

The Indians used Ayurveda. They used herbs and any other things they could find. They also believed in a lot of gods. Back then Indians used things like herbs and flowers. They believed that dieting was a medicine and it sort of is. The word Ayurveda means life knowledge. This is what Indian medicine was like long ago.
