School Remembrances and Our Heroes
Even though two years have passed since 9/11 the firefighters still remember that dark horrible day in America's history.  “We try to be there for each other, for guys who need an ear to get things off their chest” says the 54-year-old firefighter with Engine Company 5 in New York City.  Manley says,  “The letters we've received from school children, from first grade all the way up, have been phenomenal.  They were very uplifting.  Yet with all of the danger that is in this job, firefighters like Manley refuse to retire.  Whether it's a little boy or an old lady, whoever it is, we’re there for them” says Sommer.  “Firefighters will never leave the city unprotected.
We are very lucky to have such dedicated people protecting us all over the United States, not just firefighters but also Police officers, Medical personnel, and our Military.  And last but not least YOU, the citizen that would aid their fellow man in the time of need.  Below is a link to a list of all the fallen heroes of 9/11.
