Maui and Hina

One of Maui's homes was near Kauiki. Maui made a magic hook, but he wasn't that much of a fisherman. Maui's brothers were better fisherman then Maui. One day, they went fishing, Maui and his brothers paddled out to sea and caught a fish. It was a great fish, but Maui's line was loose. His fish got away. Maui put his magic hook in the sea and caught a fish. The fish pulled them for two days. Maui told them not to look back. One of the brothers did, so the line broke and the line broke and was tore up in to little pieces. These became the Hawaiian Islands. Perhaps, if the line wasn't cut in pieces, maybe the Hawaiian Islands would still be connected.
