Thinkquest Team 03oct/00031
We are math/science/computer geeks...
and proud of it!
We are all juniors at Ward
Melville High School on Long Island, New York.
We have known each other as friends since we came
together in our sophomore year, although some
of us have been friends since elementary school.
All of us except for Charlie made submissions
to Thinkquest USA last year. Evan and Neal made
Physics Master (Honorable Mention), and Michael
worked on AstroNet with another peer. We decided
to work together on this project since we felt
that we each possessed a unique talent to contribute
to the website. Evan is a private web-developer
and is handling all of the "server-side"
work. He also manages his own private network
of commercial websites. Neal is a physics master,
hence the title of his previous website. Michael
works in media design, producing 3D images and
Flash movies and diagrams. Charlie was the one
that insisted we work on the space shuttle as
our topic. Charlie did a great deal of research
and worked with Neal to produce the textual content.

"I've been creating and coding
websites for about 3 1/2 years now and this is
one of the best ones I've worked on. In those
3 1/2 years I've done everything from simple corporate
pages, to large integrated database sites which
handle over 5 million visitors yearly. I also
enjoy math and physics, beating up Neal and running
around."

I enjoy reading, music, learning, thinking, and
anything that is remotely fun (singing, dancing,
etc.). I think of myself as a swashbuckler and
a pantaloon, and at times a prophet..."

"My name is Neal and
I am interested in math and its applications.
I am on the math team and participate in many
math contests. I also have taken a number of college
level math courses. I am not into sports unless
they are math sports. For pleasure, I usually
play computer games and other computer-related
math activity."

interests in school include just about every subject.
If I had to pick, I would say math is my favorite.
As for sports, I fence for our school, and outside
with my coaches club. I also play baseball and
soccer during the spring and summer. I also am
